Email: November 4, 2019 - "Let's see how much Tylenol my body can take today"

This quote comes from one of the Elders in our apartment who has some pretty bad migraines at times.

Well we are down to the final stretch, weird to think this is my last full week in the mission. There is a lot swirling through my mind and last night I packed a massive package to send home.

We were talking to our good friend Leslie Kington (we take the sacrament to her each week and have some deep conversations) yesterday and she is sad that I'm getting ready to go but she gave me some good advice about the last week of the mission. I really do have to give it my all.

I remember hearing all the time throughout my mission, but mainly in the MTC and in training, "it's not about how you start it's about how you finish" and now that we are here I feel the truth and reality about that sentence. I really believe the way you finish your mission will signify how you will start your post mission life. If you work hard until the end you probably keep working hard when you get home, but if you slack off at the end then chances are you will slack of when you get home. I've felt that battle.

President Cordón has been a great example for me in how he has lived his life but especially the sacrifices he has made as a general authority, it's been a great pleasure to have him as my mission president.

Halloween was pretty uneventful, other than us killing cockroaches and eating frozen pizza.

Also, quick story, we were out doing some visits with the ward mission leader when he rear ended somebody (it was a very small accident). With the insurance that needed to be done it was going to take a while to get things cleared up so we decided to go on foot while the ward mission leader did his business. It was about 4 or so miles for us to walk back to our car so it took a bit, but we enjoyed it.

That's all from us this week.

Take it easy and enjoy the moments!
