Email: June 25, 2018 - Another transfer gone
Howdy, howdy, everyone. Well, transfers are happening this week and guess where I'm going???
Just kidding I'm not going anywhere. I'll be staying here in Adams again. I guess Heavenly Father really needs me here right now since I'll be going on 6 months in this coming transfer. I guess there is someone out here that I need to find.
My new companion will be Elder Kreger and a cool thing about him he was in the Air Force for a little bit. He has been out for about 5-6 months which means I'll be senior companion. So, this will be an interesting change.
Monday: We had an interesting P-day we played volleyball with some sisters and just hung out in Santa Monica.
Tuesday: To be honest I don't really remember anything about Tuesday
Wednesday: Yet another Wednesday packed with service. We found out we are allowed to give at the most 10 hours of service a week but, if you are in a difficult area, the max is 20 so we have been giving a lot service and we are finding some good potentials off of it.
Thursday: We had a good District Meeting that was a lot of fun. We shared how we felt about the transfer and we even sang the national anthem for whatever reason.
Friday: This day with Elder Cheon was a lot of fun. Elder Cheon is from Korea and he is still learning English, but he is so funny. He just makes a joke out of everything he does, and we were laughing all day.
Saturday: The second day of exchanging. I went to the Spanish area today with Elder Jones and Elder Spalding. It was a lot of fun. We got fed 3 times today and once was to a buffet. It was nice having a full stomach and it was a crazy amount of food. Since it was Spanish area, I didn't do much teaching or speaking for that manner.
Sunday: Church was interesting. We had Ward Conference today and we forgot that we didn't have gospel principles so, we're just sitting there waiting for people to show up. I also got to bless the sacrament for the first time in a long time. I don't know why, but I just get nervous every time I have to but it's always a privilege.
Welp another transfer has gone and only have 11 left. It's weird to think that soon enough I will be 1/3 of the way through. I hope all is well.
This transfer taught me a lot and showed me a lot of things that I need to work on. I have really grown a lot in the past 6 weeks, but there is still room for improvement. I've been focusing on 1 Christ-like attribute a transfer and the next one I'm working on is going to take a lot, but I know it's going to change me for the better.
