Email: November, 12, 2018 - Broken by an AP, almost broken by a ZL
Hello everyone! This was full of highs and lows
To start we were playing soccer as we always do in the morning. Our zone leaders were on exchanges with the APs, so we had Elder Maya playing with us today. Elder Maya is a really good soccer player, at one point I was playing defense and this man was ruthless. He saw me going one direction and quickly jolted to the side and next thing I knew I was on the floor. The Elder crossed me over bad. I just laid there and reflected on my life decisions and he went ahead and scored.
Then, a couple days later on Saturday, we were playing ultimate Frisbee. Again, I was playing defense. I was guarding one of the zone leaders as the Frisbee was being thrown to him. So, I began to step back to run for the Frisbee when next thing I know I'm on the floor and my ankle is a bunch of pain. So, it turns out what happened was right as I stepped, my zone leader spun around to get to the other side and as he spun he tripped over my foot, with him tripping over my foot it knocked my ankle out from underneath me and my weight came down on it.
Now keep in mind this is the same ankle I sprained three months ago. This sprain was much worse though.
So, I spent the day resting up waiting to hear from the mission Doctor on what they want me to do. They finally called hours later and told me to go to urgent care to get some x-rays just to be safe. So Elder Mora got to drive for the first time. So, we get to urgent care and they take some x-rays. Nothing was shown to be broken or fractured, so they gave me a brace, some crutches, and medicine and sent me on my way. So, with all of this, I have spent most of the weekend in the apartment.
On Sunday however, we decided we were going to go to church. We taught young men's and it was awesome.
Tonight, we had dinner with the McKinzies and we gave them another training from the MMTC. This one was really good. Sister Mckinzie was getting emotional. Elder Mora almost started crying and I almost did as well. It was an amazing time
That's all that was really noteworthy this week.
