Email: May 27, 2019 - The Sheriff and the deputy take on the wild west

You heard that right folks the most legendary transfer of Elder Barton's mission is on the horizon.

My new companion is my mission best friend Elder Seipel. He and I have served around each other for over a year and have gotten super close and now we finally get to be companions.

I learned a lot this transfer from Elder Meraz and I am ready to take those things and apply it this coming transfer.

Elder Seipel is from Salem, Utah and is such a stud. He would eat all the time and HuHot (a restaurant I used to work at) and knows some of the same people I know so it's going to be awesome.

As for the week, Elder Meraz and I had some very busy days. We had quite a few unplanned lessons which was fantastic.

For example, we met this cool guy named Mark who was just shooting his basketball around in the street. So, we went and shot around with him and got to know him. He is a nice guy and really wants our help in becoming a better person.

I also got to see Elder Styer this week as he came back to visit the mission with his girlfriend. We relived old memories and he casually dropped on me that he was going engagement ringing shopping....

So yeah, a lot has happened this week in the life of Elder Barton, but this is still much of the adventure left to be lived and that's what next week's email will be on. The start of a new adventure.
