Email: May 6, 2019 - "It's kickball not baseball!"
This was said to me by a 6-year-old
as she corrected me on my sports knowledge walking down the street past their
kickball game. You may not be able to tell but it come out as a very hard roast
and felt very dumb.
That's what the mission does to me,
I just have moments of pure stupidity and embarrassment but that's what makes
the mission funny.
Not much happened this week. We
spent the whole time working but didn't see much from it so there isn't much to
say really.
We had a lot of fun as we worked
because there was always something to laugh about. Fast Sunday was great and I
made myself feel sick from how much Hispanic food I ate on Cinco de Mayo,
probably because I was fasting all day and to suddenly just be loaded with food
was not good.
Elder Meraz and I have been getting
along really well. We joke around a lot so we have a bunch of fun, he even
wants me to buy a ukulele so I can strum out with him at night.
We also meet the coolest little kid
this week. His name is Calvin and he is 3. He is such a cool kid, first he
super strong for his age and gives some solid high fives. Then when he saw us
at church he ran up to us and pointing at us with both his index fingers and
just shout "HEY! I KNOW YOU GUYS!" he is super cool. Also he is gonna
be a baseball star one day
