Email: August 12, 2019 - 3 months remaining

It's crazy how fast time flies out here. Tomorrow will be exactly 3 months and 13 more weekly emails until I will be on a plane coming home. My mission has been absolutely amazing and life changing. Though the journey has been difficult it has been well worth it.

This week we saw success as we spoke with everyone we could. However, all the people that we talked to this week that were interested live in a different area or speak a different language.

Lately for our finding we have decided to keep it to busy streets rather than the quiet neighborhoods, so we have spent a lot of time walking up and down Hawthorne Boulevard in Lawndale and Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach.

We found out that the beaches in our area are going to be packed this coming weekend and here is why. Hermosa Beach is hosting the Teen Choice Awards on the pier this weekend and Manhattan Beach is having a huge sand volleyball tournament and they are building massive bleachers for it. So, it's going to be exciting to struggle even more to find parking.

This week we also had exchanges with our zone leaders again. Elder Kartchner came to my area and we had a lot of fun and we were busy the entire day. We also had a super good lesson with our friend Craig. We helped him recognize the spirit as he felt it in the lesson and helped him recognize how the gospel has already changed his life for the better. The spirit was very strong and we are going to be coming back more often just to read with him

Jesenia however is starting to worry me, she canceled our last lesson and she hasn't been to church in the past 3 weeks.

That's pretty much the whole week there as we spend a majority of our time finding.

I hope everybody is having a fantastic week as usual!

Take it easy and enjoy the moments!

Elder Neale and I

So, context for the pictures of the sticky note. Long ago (a year and a half ago) my trainer Elder Styer and I we're teaching Brother Akashi and we wanted to make sure he felt loved and welcomed so we did an Elder version of heart attacking their door. Sister Akashi though it was super awesome and kept all the sticky notes from that night. While having dinner with them yesterday we were talking about Brother Akashi's teaching process. Turns out Sister Akashi has kept a memory drawer from when Brother Akashi was being taught and she pulled out all of the sticky notes.

The other photos consist of us putting a 13-dollar steak in a crock pot
