Email: August 26, 2019 - "You look like you are out of a 1950s film"

There is a lady in our ward who is sick and needs the sacrament each week. We took it to her yesterday, and she got talking and eventually told me that I look like I'm from a 1950s film because of my hair. It was a compliment, so I'll take it. 

This week has been an interesting week. So, I got transferred to Studio City as we all know, but I also got sick the day before transfers and have been sick all week, but the work presses forward. 

My new companion is Elder Mangum. He is from Sandy, Utah and this is his second transfer. He is pretty quiet, but he is a good teacher. 

Also, another fun thing I learned this week is that we will actually be double covering 2 wards (that was news to me when I got up here) So I am also whitewashing a ward this transfer. So, I cover Studio City ward and the North Hollywood ward. We have been super busy this week. We had new leadership training meeting on Wednesday which lasted a long time, but it was super good. Then we also had a meeting with the different ward leaders on top of our appointments and finding time and there are even more appointments next week. 

Sorry I forgot to take pictures as well this week, but I'll be sure to take some this next week. We got a lot of work ahead of us this transfer and it looks like I'll finish my mission here so I'm gonna give it all I got.
