Email: August 6, 2018 - Transfers & Surprise Guests
Well it is that time of transfers again were it comes to a close and we get our calls. Last night we got our calls and let me tell I definitely wasn’t expecting this.
To start off, Elder Kreger is staying in Adams. He will be the new district leader here and be training a new missionary.
Now for me, obviously I’m getting transferred out. I will no longer be in the Adams Ward area. In fact, I’m going right next door to where I started my mission. That’s right, I’m going back to Torrance North.
I’m going to Lawndale which is right next to Manhattan Beach. I will also be the new District Leader down there. So old stomping grounds with new responsibility.
It’s going to be a crazy transfer.
This week in the Adams Ward we had a really good turnout in church attendance. We had a lot of visitors which helped. I also had some special guests show up. My Aunt Patrice and Uncle Rod showed up. Elder Kreger and I were sitting there waiting for church to start and lo and behold they walk in and start asking me a bunch of questions. It was honestly such a blessing.
This week was a bit rough but Heavenly Father was aware and He blessed us with our church attendance, with helping our people progress and having my family show up. It was such a great way to end a pretty good transfer in the Adams Ward. Elder Kreger and I were able to reach all the goals we had set for this transfer except for one. But I know through Elder Kreger’s continued hard work in the Adams Ward, he will hit those goals.
It’s been sad saying bye to good friends I have made here in the Adams Ward. A quarter of my mission was spent here, and it really grew on me. I definitely won't miss downtown though, that was a struggle. haha
Sorry, this email is pretty short. I’ve got a lot of things to do with packing and getting our transfer plan in.
But, if you have any questions fell free to ask and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

We loved seeing Elder Barton! Definitely worth the hour drive to get there!! I forgot to ask him one question: How are you doing keeping your room clean?? When he was younger, and I would come to visit, somehow things happened that I started checking his room...like, "Is your room clean? Can't give you the surprise til I check your room!" At some point, the room started getting clean before I got there...hmmm!! Clean room or not, it was great to be in church together!! I loved the few times he looked over his shoulder (we were sitting on the pew behind him, but down a ways) and would smile at me! So sweet!!
