Email: July 8, 2019 - The Sheriff and the deputy take on a wild tree and celebrate the 4th of July
That's right ladies and gentlemen
Elder Seipel and I (as well as other missionaries in our zone) were put to work
this week as we helped one of our neighbors take down a palm tree. It took 8 of
us and a car to finally pull it over when we chopped the roots (it was well
over 1000 pounds) I'll make sure to attach some pictures from it. It was an
awesome service opportunity that was a lot of fun and good bonding moment for
everyone.
This week was one of the busiest but
best weeks of my mission. There was so much we had to do and get done with so
little time but we somehow managed to do it.
Tuesday was a busy day with lots of
appointments and service, the day was eaten right up
Wednesday, we had exchanges and I
went to the Spanish area which was a bunch of fun. Again, I was in the Compton
and Gardena area (shock)
Thursday was the busiest day of the
week. We officially met President Cordón and that meeting, plus interviews and one
lesson took up the entire day since we had to be in by 6pm. Our apartment as a
pretty good view to the East (we can see all the way to downtown LA) so we got
see a bunch of fireworks.
Friday, we had more lessons and our
final district council which was super sad. We had the funeral for the sister
going home in our district and we went all out with the power ranger
theme.
Saturday, we had the tree service
which lasted a good long while and we still have another tree to take down this
week
Sunday not much happened except for
our transfer calls.
As for transfers I will be staying
here in Manhattan Beach for a 3rd transfer. Elder Seipel is being transferred
away and my new companion is Elder Bastian. He seems pretty cool from when I
talked to him on the phone.
And that's the whole week. A lot
happened and there is a lot yet to happen so be sure to stay tuned.
