Email: September 2, 2019 - "Elder Mora is like Jimmy Fallon, he'll just laugh at whatever you say"

There is a nice funny quote for you all from zone conference this week. This sentence is super true and I will love Elder Mora for it.

This week was a very hard week in the life of Elder Barton if I'm being honest, you said I should be honest, so I'm being honest (there is a nice little reference there for those you all)

Yeah, the highlight of my week this week would be zone conference and let me tell you why. 1st Zone conference was super good, President Cordón is super inspired and gave an awesome training / talk on repentance, it was amazing

2. My good friend Elder Terry gave an awesome training on talking with everyone with one of the assistants and really helped us all realize just how easy it is to talk with everyone. 

3. Almost all of my mission friends are up in the San Fernando Valley right now, so I got to see them and it was an awesome reunion. Still missing a couple of the Elders but it was good to see everyone

I also had a great exchange with our zone leaders on Saturday. Elder Peterson (one of my zone leaders) has only been out for 3 transfers and is still trying to figure everything out but I'm glad he is my zone leaders he is such a goof ball and super happy all the time and he is from Knoxville, Tennessee! The whole day gave me an opportunity to just release a lot of the stress I have been feeling lately and Elder Peterson just listened and gave me a bit of counsel. 

Also, this is an appropriate time to say.... W H A T  T H E  K I M? So we got a call about an emergency transfer that will be affecting our companionship last night and I learned that I will be companions with Elder Kim again. He is the only companion that I have been companions with twice so it will be fun to

 R U N  I T  B A C K.

Now with all that being said and the transfer happening today we are going to be pretty busy so that's gonna be all for this email. I took a couple of pictures this week but not a lot. Sorry about that.

PS: There are so many connections happening between the North Hollywood and Studio City wards. A lot of members know Keith or Bro. Johnson or both and there is a lot of excitement about me being here which is kind of weird.
